Annual RU5433 “RNA in Focus” Retreat

Great discussions, new ideas, and inspiring science at our recent retreat! This year’s annual Research Consortium Retreat took place in Fulda, Hesse, bringing together researchers for engaging scientific exchange and collaboration.

Five members of our team had the opportunity to present our work, share ongoing projects and recent findings, and exchange perspectives in an inspiring and collaborative environment.

Our PhD students Melina Bäuerle and Leah Schüler presented updates on their ongoing projects, while our Clinician Scientist Robert Winkler shared his work on SNHG29, which has recently been accepted for publication. Further exciting insights into novel RNA biology were provided by Prof. Dr. Dirk Heckl, and David Groll also gave a spontaneous presentation on his work involving mRNA lipid nanoparticles.

Many thanks to Stefan Hüttelmaier from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Christina Hugenberg, and the organizing team for an informative and enjoyable event that fostered valuable discussions and generated new ideas on RNA functions in disease.
